Combined with a fascination for Traditional Cold-process soap making techniques,
our love of Eastern travel, colour, casting, and print the business began.

Wyld Rose Holistics...
Our Artisan Soap is made from natural moisture rich ingredients, African Shea butter, Olive Oil and natural Coconut oil. We use carefully considered ingredients for the unique properties they have to bring you a beautifully scented soap which is sustainable and cares and protects, people and the environment.
We made a decision not to use palm oil in our soaps as we discovered that large forests are burnt to the ground and animals are harmed during the process. Sadly, palm plantations in South East and central Asia have led to devastating forestation and the loss of huge habitats of Orangutans which remains very close to our hearts.
Ethical trade
Our ethical beliefs have a big impact on our choices as we are passionate about people, animals, there habitats and livelihoods. We use fair trade products from supplier to manufacturer to ensure that we can make a difference from the bottom up.
Shea Butter
Shea Butter comes from the nuts of the Karite' trees that grow in the Sahel region extending from West to East Africa, from Guinea and Senegal to Uganda and South Sudan. It is known as womens 'Gold' not only for it's rich yellow colour but because it primarily provides employment and income to millions of African women across the continent. Using traditional methods women often organised in co-operatives harvest the karite' fruits, crushing them to extract the precious butter which is then boiled, cleaned packaged and sold to the local markets or exported.
Coconut oil
We think Coconut oil is amazing! It has so many multi - faceted properties and is especially known for it's skin softening properties helping to smooth skin preventing wrinkles and premature aging. It also has anti-oxidant properties and contains vitamin E enhancing and nourishing skin. We use a high percentage of Coconut oil in our soaps for it's amazing bubbly lather and for producing a nice hard bar!
Olive oil
Olive oil has been used for centuries by the Egyptians and Ancient Greeks as a potent remedy for hair and skin. It's anti-oxidant properties are used to nourish and cleanse protecting the skin against environmental and free radical damage. It combats premature ageing and is cleansing without clogging the pores. Containing four major anti-oxidants including Vitamin A and E allow it to work as a potent protector, moisturiser and cleanser.

How Traditional Lye soap emerged...
Natural Lye soap has been in use for many years, right from the times of the Ancients. As history tells us, soap originated in Babylonia where they used a soap like substance for cleaning. Later, Roman women washing clothes the the River Tiber found that cleaning at a particular place proved better than at other places. The reason was tracked to a soapy stream which flowed from a nearby hill where animals were sacrificed in the woods and cooked and eaten. It was found that the substance was soap formed by a natural mixing of wood ash, water and animal fat.
Though caustic, Lye is the most important ingredient in the soap making process. It is required to dissolve the fatty acids and induce soap formation. Though different cultures used different soap recipes, Lye played a crucial role in the making of natural soap.

Please allow 4-6 weeks curing time on the date of order and a few days to a week for wrapping depending on size of order. If you would like your soaps a little earlier then please contact us 4-6 weeks prior to the date you would like to receive them.
Our products are handcrafted and made from scratch every time so slight variations of colour and design may vary from photographs on our website. We cannot guarantee an exact match of colours and patterns. We hope you love the rustic,unique look of each hand cut & stamped bar.
All our soaps are made using therapeutic grade high quality essential oils, natural butters, clays and botanical's and contain no nasty parabens, artificial fragrances, preservatives and SLS free.
Vegan friendly, not tested on animals.
